Our community is full of historical homes in our area, like our Belle Boyd House. Here you will find not only the history of Belle Boyd, but there are upscale gatherings for wedding and other social events. We also have the old train station (while in use in the good ‘ole days) provided the roundabout for the trains to turn around. We also have a small hidden waterfall that is gorgeous. Martinsburg hosts concerts in the square on Friday nights during the summer. Local musicians play for hours while folks enjoy the local restaurants and the bakery that is on the corner. They also host a chili cook-off, an Easter parade, a Christmas parade in the winter and local stores can sponsor a hand made a snowman that gets displayed on the lamp posts all along main street. |

Along with kind people, our town is also filled with history, established in 1762, years before the U.S. was even a country. Shepherdstown is believed to have hosted some of the most gruesome battles in the American Civil War. It is known as the birthplace of the steamboat as well.

Numerous museums, including the Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum, Johnathan Hager House, the Doleman Black Heritage Museum, and the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. We also have City Park in Hagerstown which offers plenty of walking area, play areas for kids, picnic pavilions, etc. Our store is right in the middle of it all, a perfect spot off of interstates 70 and 81 for an easy commute and travel to anything in Hagerstown. Look for these restaurants in Hagerstown Rik’s Cafe, Brother’s Pizza Express and Hagerstown Diner on Dual Highway.
