Does renting storage units require rental protection?

Yes, we do require rental protection when you are renting a storage unit. You can provide proof of your own protection plan as you are checking out, or you can purchase one of our protection plans. We offer a few different options, so you are able to choose the best for your situation. Ask our storage experts which plan would be best for you.

Are locks provided/sold on site?

We sell a wide selection of storage supplies—including locks—in our storage facility offices. You can stock up on boxes, bubble wrap, locks, box cutters, and anything else you need in one visit.

How do I pay my bill online?

At the top of our website, you will see a button that says “Pay Bill.” From there, login and click on the storage unit in your account that you wish to pay the bill for. You can also choose to prepay for your upcoming month’s bill.

How do I reach someone after hours?

Call the office number of the specific Valley Storage facility close to you or call (877) 300-1511. Then press “1” to speak with a live representative. There is also a chat button on the website that can support you.

Can I rent short-term?

We offer month-by-month storage leases to allow for flexible rental space. You will never be stuck in a long contract. Rent for a month, a few months, or find your long-term storage solution with Valley Storage.

What discounts do you offer?

Customers ages 65+ can receive our Senior Discount of 5% off monthly. Active duty military members can receive 10% off monthly. Thank you for your service! Additionally, when you refer a friend, you and your friend both receive $50 off your next storage rental. Read more on our storage discount page today.

Do you have movers?

No, we do not offer movers. However, we list our Neighborhood Friends at the bottom of each storage facility’s rental page, so our tenants can find local assistance with trusted businesses. Search through the Neighborhood Friends of our storage facilities near you to find movers.

Do you have truck rentals?

No, we do not offer moving truck rentals at our storage facility. Check the Neighborhood Friends board of your local Valley Storage facility for local recommendations.

Do you have storage auctions?

Yes, auctions of storage units occur after fulfilling the state lien law procedure of someone who has not made a payment on their unit. Storage auctions aren’t our favorite side of the business, but they are part of it. Valley Storage’s storage auctions are held on Lockerfox.com.

Can I live or sleep in a storage unit?

No. Not only is it illegal to inhabit a storage unit—for both humans and animals—but it is extremely unsafe. Storage unit doors lock from the outside and do not have running water to support a residence.

What storage unit size do I need?

Depending on the amount of items you are looking to store, how long you are looking to store, and what you are trying to store, different storage unit sizes might serve you better. Our online calculator can give you a storage unit size recommendation based on the objects you enter.

When I rent online, can I access my storage unit right away?

Yes. When you rent a storage unit through our contactless storage rentals, you are able to access your storage unit immediately once you receive your confirmation email. The online rental process lets you choose your storage unit and pay for it within minutes. Once the transaction is completed, you can move into your storage unit right away.

Can I access my storage unit at any time?

Our gate hours are from 6 AM – 10 PM.
