Washing Cars for our Washington County Community

On August 31st, our Hagerstown, Maryland facility hosted a free charity car wash and vendor/craft show, with all proceeds benefitting The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County. We are delighted to report that, due to the generosity of our fabulous Washington County community, we were able to raise $558.59 to benefit this fantastic organization!

The charity car wash was a blast! We had beautiful weather, great people and lots of fun!

We are thrilled at the success of this event and are proud to have supported the Boys and Girls Club.
We chose to work with the Boys and Girls Club based on the incredible mission that this organization has set out to achieve:

To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

They provide a safe, caring and productive environment for youth to go during non-school hours or in the summer. This creates a positive alternative for many students whose only choice would be to spend their free time roaming the streets or being home by themselves, with no supervision. The Club is led by paid professionals, trained in adolescent development and education. These staff members expose their students to skills and opportunities that they may never have been presented otherwise.

We think Jonathan Sacks said it best when he stated:

While we can remember the past, we cannot write the future. Only our children, the future of our community, can do that.

All of us at Valley Storage have a keen interest in keeping our Hagerstown community a strong, vibrant place to call home. By supporting our youth, we are investing in our future. Thank you to all of our volunteers, vendors and crafters for working with us to achieve our goal!
