This organization was started when a local radio station employee saw children without the proper outerwear waiting for the bus. After announcing this over the radio, they started a campaign that exceeded their goal. The radio was filled with generous donations from listeners from all around the northeast Ohio area. They were also able to purchase new coats with the many monetary donations.

Since the original outreach, Coats for Kids has expanded into several neighborhoods and impacted countless children with the warmth of a new coat. They accept donations for youngsters as small as infants all the way up to adults. From November to January they ask that instead of discarding a coat that does not fit, simply drop it in any of the boxes at businesses supporting Coats for Kids. You can find a full list on their website. This year you Medina OH Valley Storage Co location is one of those businesses. Until the 20th of December we are convenient spot to drop of coats.
